Our season pass allows you to enjoy as many classes as you have time. Our season starts Friday Memorial Day weekend, 2024 and ends Monday Labor Day 2024. Monday - Thursday 9 AM until 11:30M on New Orlean Street, Dewey, Beach, DE, at 19971.
Parents. Safely drop off your students @ the Skim University parking lot at 9 AM and return at approximately 11:15 AM. Monday - Thursday. You'll have plenty of time to join us on the beach for photos, check out Dewey Beach, or go for a walk. All Summer
Our sessions include everything you will need with premium board rental. Be prepared for a few hours on the beach. Water, sunblock, and a beach towel are recommended.
*** new for 2024. Advanced riders welcome. Our competitive students will enjoy seeing high-performance Skimboarding. We will have a designated area for advanced riders. Even if you can drive your own car, it's nice to know you have an area to skim safely Monday through Thursday ****all summer long.
-Returning students, Here's your chance to save on your 2024 season pass, and allow us to know who is returning. Our rate will increase when all 20 are sold. As you know, we're half the price of comparable "camps" and more class time on the beach for the season.
*** The 2024 family rate is available Now. Family members can enter for 2024 season and save during the "Not 2023 Sale Family Pass". You can add family members after selecting one season pass. After you select one season pass, push the shop ID button on the top left and then you can add your family members to the same cart.

Parents.
We start and end our sessions at Skim University New Orleans Street, Dewey Beach. You can load and unload your car without worrying about Dewey Beach parking. You are more than welcome to join us on the beach or have breakfast in Dewey. You have time to do both.
On Friday our Contest Session will be in Dewey OR Big Chill Beach Club. Depending on conditions. Big Chill is South Side, Indian River Inlet. Watch the action from the deck with a taco or join us on the beach. Our Contest series is included in our season pass. **Friday Contest Schedule will be announced in June.

Daily Schedule
1st Classroom Time
Before heading to the beach, we will spend a few minutes in the classroom going over a variety of topics. Students can secure their belongings and apply sunblock.
2nd Beach Board Meeting
Now it is time to hit the beach & skimboard. To get started we will select the class that fits each students ability. Freshman/sophomore or Junior/senior classes. We have activities for every ability.
3rd Daily Review
Back to the air-conditioned classroom. Students will review photos & videos and receive homework/things to work on after class. Instructors will go over though latest skimboard videos with the class.
Our mission: pass down information we have learned from traveling, free riding and competing all over the world. Whether this is your first time on the beach or you're the next ripping pro.. we will get you covered.
We are a Dewey Beach family of skimboarders. Dad's been skimboarding for 40 years. Our oldest son Ethan 16, is sponsored by grape skimboards. Emily 14 and Eve 8 both ride Victoria Skimboards. Mom is an RN and keeps us all safe.
We love to skim and we love to compete. Our family has been on the podium, both west and east coast, multiple times as well as winning Skim USA tours. Ethan even had the amazing opportunity to travel with team Skim USA and compete in Spain, winning 1st.
We are proud of our kids and want to share what we know and love with the next class.

Students will learn from our experience traveling, competing and free-riding. Both on and off the beach.

We take the ocean & our environment very seriously. While sharing the beach with other visitors, students understand the importance of paying attention to their environment, board control, weather, ocean conditions, sun care & general beach safety.

Students, from freshman to senior will walk away from this experience with skimboard knowledge. From free riding to competition.
What makes Skimboard University different? Our family tree of knowledge! Our teaching techniques will revolve around the historic Victoria Skimboards Competition. The Vic. If your child chooses to compete later, they will have more knowledge than competitors who do not attend Skimboard University.
On Friday we run a competition using the same format as historic "The Vic" started over 40 years ago in Laguna Beach, California. The same scoring sheets, jerseys, judging and heat set up. This has never been done on the East Coast before.
This is going to be fun.
