It's hard to believe..... 13 years ago we came up with a fun idea to bring people into town and enjoy the most delicious Bacon Creations.
How does bacon fest work? Bacon Fest is not held in a field or in a convention center. Bacon fans will enjoy samples from each restaurant participating in our friendly competition. Who's going to win best bacon on the beach 2024?
On Friday, April 19, 2024 we will have a welcome event. Are welcome and then will be selected the week before Bacon Fest. In town Dewey from 6 to 8 PM Visitors can pick up their pass and their map, which will display your start time and location. After we have a complete list of restaurants, we start to make the schedule. Once April 20, 2024 is filled, we will start to continue onto April 21, 2024.
Yes, there is some walking and it's possible you may need some rideshare. However, you'll be glad to get some exercise after enjoying all the amazing creations.
During this half price sale your pass will include all events scheduled for the weekend. We're starting with the welcome party on Friday and a full list of restaurants. As the list of restaurants increase we will add April 21, 2024 to your pass. Once the second day has been added, the rate will go increase. So don't wait.
Pro tip! Do not be late. Go to your start location at your start time. Get in line & have your friend grab you a beverage. Please tip your servers, Enjoy your sample and move onto the next location. Take your time, but hurry up.
After you have enjoyed different samples, go back to the location you enjoyed the most and relax. Some places will run out of samples. If you keep moving, you'll have a better chance of trying all the samples. If they run out. No worries. Thanks for participating and most likely they won't win the event.
Restaurants. Bacon Fest is free to participate. The only requirement is that you are located in Rehoboth or Dewey Beach. We expect approximately 750 bacon fans and your sample should be around 1 ounce. Be creative... but there has to be one ingredient included. It's bacon. Bacon fans are fun, loving customers. If you are offering bar specials, please display info near your sample.
Let's keep this simple BF is a fun event. Sample amazing Bacon creations from different restaurants. & Have an amazing spring weekend at the beach.
